Development & Fundraising
In today's America, we know that to get things done in politics, it takes money. And this is especially true at the grassroots, local level - Southold Dems absolutely need your financial support!
In local elections, a few hundred or a few thousand dollars can make all the difference during the last few weeks or days of a campaign.
The funds we raise go toward:
Print ads in local papers
Radio and television ads
Campaign signage and handouts for door-to-door “Get Out the Vote” efforts
Letters to second homeowners, new homeowners, and outreach to lapsed voters
Workshops for aspiring candidates
Committee and/or candidate participation in relevant events and seminars
. . . and that's just around election season.
We also support graduating seniors from the local high schools each year in scholarship awards, and host political and social events to build awareness and community about and within Southold Dems.
